One person died while seven others were injured on Monday in a road accident near Pouni area in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
A vehicle, bearing registration no JK20 2752, fell into 100-meter deep gorge near Sandoor bridge in Pouni area, said a senior police officer.
The vehicle was carrying labourers to a construction site at Domail near Shiv Khori shrine when it met with the accident.
“Seven passengers were on board out of which two are from UP while the rest are from MP. Three among the injured were referred to Jammu hospital,” he said.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Dheeraj son of Gori Shanker resident of Taryath Rajouri, has succumbed to his injuries on way to Jammu hospital, said the official.
