GST: From eggs to milk; here's a list of exempted goods under new tax regime

A week after the roll-out of goods and services tax, confusion still rules.

While the businesses are still coming to terms with the tax rules, consumers too are yet to understand how the new tax regime is going to impact their daily life.
For instance, the government in a recent notification allowed unsold pre-packed items to be marketed to consumers with an add-on sticker indicating the revised price. The old MRP will have to be clearly on display along with the revised MRP sticker. This means there will be two MRPs on one product - Pre-GST and post-GST.
All in all as confusion prevails, here's a list of goods that are exempted from GST for your perusal:
