A 50-year-old man was crushed to death by a speeding motorcycle when he was on his way to a mosque to offer evening prayers yesterday in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The man, identified as Abdul Majid Ganaie, a resident of Krankshivan colony, died on the spot after being hit by a motorcycle.
A police official said that the motorcyclist fled from the spot after hitting the CA&PD employee.
“We have seized the bike and registered a case against the motorcyclist,” he said.
